When you use CropKhata, we collect the following categories of information:

• Registration data: Your name, phone number, and password when you create an account.
• Farm & expense data: Crop names, expense records, farm areas, dates, and notes you enter voluntarily.
• Location data: With your permission, your device's approximate or precise location, used to show local weather updates and nearby commodity/mandi prices. See Section 3 for details.
• Push notification data: If you enable notifications, a device token used to deliver price alerts, weather alerts, expense reminders, and scheme updates. See Section 4 for details.
• Images you upload: Profile photos, blog images, and crop photos you submit are stored via Cloudinary, our image hosting provider. See Section 5 for details.
• Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, time spent, and referring URLs — collected automatically.
• Cookies & identifiers: Unique identifiers placed by us and our advertising partners (including Google) to recognize you across sessions.

• To create and manage your CropKhata account and provide core features.
• To show weather conditions and forecasts relevant to your location.
• To show commodity and mandi prices relevant to your area.
• To send push notifications and in-app alerts for prices, weather, expense reminders, and schemes.
• To store and serve images you upload (profile photos, blog posts, crop photos) via Cloudinary.
• To display personalized and non-personalized advertisements through Google AdSense.
• To analyze usage patterns and improve the platform experience.
• To send account-related notifications and service updates.
• To detect fraud, abuse, and security threats.
• To comply with applicable laws and regulations in India.

Weather information shown in CropKhata is sourced from a third-party weather data provider based on the location you provide or share. Commodity and mandi price data is sourced from publicly available government agricultural market data (Agmarknet/data.gov.in).

These third-party data providers may receive your location coordinates or selected market/region as part of fetching this data. We do not control how these providers process that data beyond fulfilling our request, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy practices if you have concerns.

Images you upload to CropKhata — including profile photos, blog post images, and crop photos — are stored and served using Cloudinary, a third-party cloud image hosting service. Uploaded images may be transmitted to and stored on Cloudinary's servers, which may be located outside India. We retain uploaded images for as long as your account or the associated content remains active, and remove them upon account deletion or content removal, subject to standard backup retention periods.

CropKhata uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. By using our service, you acknowledge that:

• Google and its partners use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to CropKhata and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
• You may opt out of third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info/choices.

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

• Essential cookies: Required for authentication and keeping you logged in.
• Analytics cookies: Help us understand how users interact with our platform (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Advertising cookies: Placed by Google AdSense and its partners to serve relevant ads and measure ad performance.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect CropKhata functionality.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data only in these circumstances:

• With Google AdSense: Usage and cookie data as described in Section 7.
• With Firebase Cloud Messaging: Device tokens, to deliver push notifications as described in Section 4.
• With weather and market data providers: Location coordinates or selected region, to fetch weather and price data as described in Section 5.
• With Cloudinary: Images you choose to upload, as described in Section 6.
• With analytics providers: Aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve our product.
• With service providers: Hosting and infrastructure partners under confidentiality agreements.
• Legal compliance: When required by law, court order, or government authority in India.
• Business transfer: In a merger or acquisition, data may transfer to the successor entity.

Your data is stored on secure servers with industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS). We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. While we strive to protect your data, no internet transmission is 100% secure. Use a strong password and keep your credentials confidential.

As a CropKhata user, you have the right to:

• Access and review the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data, including uploaded images.
• Export your farm and expense data in a readable format.
• Revoke location access or notification permission at any time via your browser/device settings.
• Opt out of personalized advertising via Google's Ads Settings.
• Withdraw consent for non-essential data processing at any time.

CropKhata is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may notify you via the app or email. Your continued use of CropKhata after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
