CropKhata — Crop Expense Management for Indian Farmers

You can request deletion of your CropKhata account and all associated data at any time — whether or not you currently have the app installed. This page explains both ways to do that, what gets deleted, and how long it takes.

Option 1: Delete In-App

If you still have CropKhata installed, this is the fastest way:

  1. Open the CropKhata app and log in to your account
  2. Go to Profile
  3. Tap Delete Account and confirm when prompted

This immediately queues your account and data for deletion — no need to email us separately.

Option 2: Request by Email

No app installed, or can't log in? Send a deletion request from the email or phone number linked to your account to:

Include your registered name and phone number so we can verify it's you. We may ask one follow-up question to confirm your identity before processing the request.

What Gets Deleted

  • Your name, phone number, and account credentials
  • All crop records — names, seasons, sow/harvest dates, area, and status
  • All expense records linked to your account
  • Uploaded images (profile photo, crop photos, blog images) stored via Cloudinary
  • Saved/cached location used for weather and mandi price features
  • Push notification device tokens and your in-app notification history
  • Any blog posts, comments, or feedback you submitted under your account

What May Be Retained, and Why

  • Aggregated, anonymized analytics that can no longer be tied back to you
  • Records we're legally required to keep (e.g. under Indian tax, consumer-protection, or IT Act requirements), kept only as long as the law requires
  • Standard backup copies, which are purged on our normal backup rotation cycle (typically within 90 days) rather than deleted instantly

How Long It Takes

In-app requests are queued immediately and fully processed within 30 days. Email requests are verified and processed within the same 30-day window from when we confirm your identity. You'll receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.

Partial Deletion — Just One Type of Data

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove specific data. Email us at cropkhata@gmail.com to request removal of just your uploaded images, location history, or notification tokens, for example — while keeping your account and crop/expense records intact.
